ICT and Computing

Our blended ICT curriculum ensures that students at KS3 are being taught a wide range of skills driving from both an ICT and computing framework. This is to ensure that the skills being taught are keeping pace with the evolving way businesses and the wider society are using technology whilst engaging their curiosity and developing their digital literacy.

There are four big concepts we want students to be confident in by the end of key stage 3:

1. search, select and validate information from a range of sources
2. select appropriate software and use the tools to format and present information for a specific target audience
3. plan, model, control/program, test and implement systems for a specific purpose
4. collaborate and evaluate on ICT concepts.
