House System
The House system has allowed our students over the last two years, to interact with each other both in and outside of their own year groups. Positive relationships have been built between our more established older cohort all the way down to our newest year 7s. This has helped boost the confidence of all of our students, whilst assisting in boosting moral.
Our house leaders each year are chosen from our 6th form because of their ability to lead, coach and mentor younger students. They had the opportunity to develop their already strong skills in these areas, whilst having a lot of fun.
There are five Houses in which students are equally placed:
AUSTEN | Jane Austen (1775-1817)
CURIE | Marie Curie (1867-1934)
Da VINCI | Leonardo Da Vinci (1452-1519)
OWENS | Jesse Owens (1913-1980)
PANKHURST | Emmeline Pankhurst (1858-1928) |
Our main House competitions are held at the end of each term:
- Christmas ‘Charity’ House Competition (December)
- House Dance Competition (February)
- House Sports Day (June)
