CURRICULUM TEACHING ASSISTANT – Science

Robert Barclay Academy

Grade:  H5

Hours:  up to 27 hours and 30 minutes per week

Working Pattern:  9.00 to 15.00 Monday to Friday (this is a typical pattern)

                                           Contract:   Term-time plus 5 days INSET

                                   Actual Salary: £17,200 per annum including Fringe

(Salary dependant on basic hours contracted)

Robert Barclay Academy is seeking to appoint a confident, motivated and enthusiastic Curriculum Teaching Assistant to join our Science Department. This post is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a passion for science and education who wants to support students in achieving their full potential. It also could be an excellent springboard into a career in Teaching for graduate applicants. RBA has strong links with the East Herts Partnership for school-based Initial Teacher Training.

You will work closely with the teaching staff to support learning in science lessons, assist with classroom preparation and provide targeted support to students in class and in small groups. You will help by maintaining science resources and support practical work.

The successful candidates would set themselves high personal standards and be eager to develop professionally to support the school’s creative curriculum approach to learning.
