Geography
Curriculum Intent Statement |
---|
The overall intent of the Geography curriculum is to engage students in the world that we live. We aim to inspire a curiosity and fascination about the world and its people that will help them to succeed in their lives. Students will grow their knowledge of the interactions between physical and human processes, and of the formation and use of landscapes and environments. In addition to this, the geographical knowledge, understanding and skills will help to provide them with the framework to explain how the Earth’s features are shaped, interconnected and changed over time. Lastly, we want to excite students’ minds by challenging perceptions and developing their investigative skills. We aim to ensure students get to experience a range of different context from all around the world whilst ensuring a balance between physical and human geography. We also want to develop students’ investigative skills and aim to achieve this through fieldwork opportunities at a local, national and global scale. |
